Bantiss Dermot missed the break on Wednesday night at Romford but showed serious early gears to bust his way through at the bend. 'Wally' went four lengths clear down the back but tired coming home to win by a length and a half. He will come on for the run as he has been short of work. Oi Oi Wally!
His brother Winch Woody (pictured) was out yesterday afternoon in the same A5 grade. He broke well but was never on terms with the only other pup in the race, Paulees Star (May 07 Droopys Kewell dog), who absolutely pinged the lids. Woody gave a very good account of himself going down by just over 3 lengths finishing a clear second. The winning time was a very impressive 24.51 and this pup should be watched (the A1 was the only race faster). Woody would have won most of the other races on the card, and he is a promising pup in his own right - a win and two seconds so far.
Sister Bantiss Allblack makes her Open Race Debut tonight in the first at Romford. Good luck Steve and Maxine.
Allblack tremendous from the boxes Johnny, hopefully she'll see the trip out fully given a little time.
