In 32 Feature Races 21 favourites and 2 joint-favourites obliged. That's a decent strike rate. But to put things into perspective, in the 32 feature events, only 9 of the 32 winners returned at odds greater than 2/1.
Of the 261 winners of races on Sky this year, 112 were favourite (or joint/co favourites).
ODDS-ON FAVOURITES
I have the stats to say that backing every odds on shot on the Sky broadcasted meetings will leave you considerably in the red. There were 86 races live on Sky this year where a favourite was returned at odds-on. If you had backed all of these hot pots, your 50 winners and 36 losers would result in a loss to you of -€833.00 if you had a €100 bet on each.
However, in the main events there have been 12 odds on shots in the 32 races. And only one of them has been turned over - that was Directors Chair in the very first broadcast of 2008, when the 4/5 shot was short-headed by the aforementioned Tuftys Pearletta.

THE FAIRER SEX?
32 events, 4 won by bitches - one of those was the Oaks. 2 were by Flying Winner and the other by Tuftys Pearletta. Dogs would appear to have a HUGE advantage over bitches in the features.
