I am increasing my action fourfold this week so I need the rub of the green which i havent had in the last few weeks.

21/20 Olympiakos to humble Wenger's boys

I know I banned myself from backing Spurs, but there is no gooner embargo!

Tonight Arsene Wenger is likely to field 10 teenagers against Olympiakos in Greece.  Arsenal are already home and hosed and this is a dead rubber......for them.  But Olympiakos need a point to qualify for the next phase of the Champions League.

Fulham slipped up against Bolton last week costing me money, but I expect them to wipe the floor with Sunderland.

Portsmouth have to win this '6 pointer' (which is no basis for punting) but I believe that they will anyway as they are good at home and Burnley are awful on their travels.  I read that Pompey didnt get paid again this week - not sure that will have a negative effect on players.

I reduced my action last week and got 2 wins from 3 (very nearly a clean sweep but Titans got a last play TD) and a profit of 0.62pts.  My year looks to be in no danger of imploding as I have a good handle on my NFL betting - about the only sport I can claim that in.

This week I will have just 1 bet.  Tennessee Titans are on the road to the unbeaten Indianpolis Colts who I think have been lucky on a few occasions in the last month. I think the Colts can be taken on in the spread, which is currently 7 or 7.5pts.  I will get the best price this evening and post up.

RECOMMENDATION: TENNESSEE TITANS (+7.5pts)

I also think there will be a lot of points in the Vikings game at Arizona but the 47pts O/U mark looks tight enough.

Carling Cup 1/4 Finals

I don't bet on Spurs anymore but 14/5(Paddy Power) tonight at Old Trafford is way too big considering United will be considerably understrength.  Spurs have not lost a game in normal time or extra time in this competition for 3 seasons.

RECOMMENDATION: SPURS AT UNITED NO BET

Porstmouth's performances have been encouraging, and Villa look average to me. I know they are good on the counter but I fancy Pompey to play with a bit of freedom and will back them at 13/5 with Coral to send Martin O'Neill boys out of the cup.

I can't bet against Chelsea at Blackburn even though the home side are a big price at 6/1 with most firms.  While a cup tie on a wet night is a big leveller, and Chelsea are due a bad performance, i can't play.

The bet of the week. Arsenal on the road at '7 draws in a row' City.  Arsenal's kids always step up to the platee in this competition and are a blinding bit of value at 100/30 with Coral.

NFL 2009/2010: Week 12

I was a bit unlucky not to break even last week as Baltimore gave the Colts the game. This weekend is a massive divisional battle with the Superbowl champs Pittsburgh.

I think the Ravens will win this tight match up.  Ray Rice will not be as quiet this week, and kicker Cundiff will again be important.  Ravnes all the way.

It's the Brett Favre show again this weekend down in Minnesota. Brett Favre goes mental when at home.  I expect a touchdown fest and over 300 yards.

In another tight game I think Arizona are unopposable at Tennessee.  Arizona are 5-0 on the road and I expect them to bash Tennessee from the start.  Interestingly, Titans are slight favourites (3pts) but the Cards have a massive record when they are the underdogs.
