Well the Profit and Loss Account has taken another dent although not catastrophic. SHELBOURNE ASTON (226) bowed out of the Ladbrokes 600 on Saturday night so my 10/1 AntePost docket is in the bin.
The Blue Square Derby 2nd Round (disussed elsewhere) yielded an overall loss of €2.00. One of my three AntePost selections, WESTMEAD LORD E/W at 25/1 (194/195) bit the dust, but the other two, EXPRESS EGO E/W at 66/1 (192/193) and FARLOE REASON E/W at 25/1 (196/197) performed brilliantly and those bets are well and truly alive.
My nap of the 2nd round BUBBLY TOTTI (265) was imperious when winning at 6/4. In fact, coming from behind on such a fast surface is amazing, and should we get a slowing down in the next few weeks, this dog can go all the way.
