Like the banks, I have a few toxic assets on my books - but unlike the banks some of mine aint as bad as they could be.
My 'football book' is as toxic as you can get I suppose, but I have drawn a line under that now, and although I have a dozen or so possible debts still alive, I might break even for the year if a few of them turn good.
| Exotic Dancer to win 2009 Chelt Gold Cup 33/1 |
Fresh bet and still trading at a best priced 33s
| Adebayor to be Arsenal's top PL scorer 11/8 |
Quite likely still, level on 5 with Van Persie. I'd say he is odds-on now
| Bolton to be relegated 100/30 |
This will go to the end of the season - they are not in the drop zone at present but only 3 points above it - current price about the same as when i made the bet
| Boro to finish above Newcastle and Sunderland 3/1 |
Have been above them all season so far and this bet would be trading at odds on now, but there is only a few points in it all the same
| Boro to finish top half - 5/2 |
As above, Southgate's team have been top half all season, and will be odds-on to stay thereabouts, but any bad run will see them plummet
| Drogba to be Chelsea's top scorer 5/4 |
Unlikely now and looks a sure loser - Anelka is 12 goals ahead of him already and Drogba's injury problems are only now subsiding
| Hearts to win SPL (without Rangers and Celtic) 4/1 |
Have been third behind the big boys all season so far and would be a lot shorter than 4/1 to stay there - not exactly a decent side though. 3pts clear of Dundee Utd and 7 clear of Hibs. Live chance.
| Newcastle to finish bottom half 5/4 |
This is nearly ready to collect - no chance of this crowd finishing abouve 14th
| Portsmouth to finish above Man City - 5/4 |
A point above them at present and 5/4 is possibly a bit short if City spend as they have been promising
| Spurs to finish top 6 Evens |
I'd love to say they can, but I'll settle for top 16.
| Spurs to win Carling Cup 12/1 |
Amazingly this looks a good bet - they are almost favourites for this now and if they win their Quarter Final with Watford, they have a huge chance of lifting this cup.

Walcott to start more than 15 Premier League matches (Evs) Was looking nailed on having started most of Arsenal's PL games this year - but dislocated arm means this is in the balance and Evens is probably about right. If he's fit he will be back in this poor side. |
