Marat Safin to win a set tonight (at least)

Marat Safin vs Gel Monfils in the 3rd Round of the Sony Ericsson Masters 1000 event

I have been watching Monfils closely for a while and I really think he is fragile especially against a big server.

Monfils is trading between 1/4 and 1/3 and should be opposed.  Safin is 11/4 with Sporting Odds and while he is not as good as he was a few years ago, I think he could worth a punt at this attractive price.  However, a safer bet is that Safin will get on the scoreboard. Safin is Evens with Boylesports to win a set which I think he will.

What a great game of tennis. Monfils won 5-7, 7-5, 7-6. It was like a game of football with two bad defences ending in a 3-2 win.

Safin was brilliant first set and I won my money - but he crumbled in the 3rd when 5-2 and 2 breaks up on a matchpoint. Monfils was lucky enough to be honest.
