I got wiped at Oxford - but skydogsblog is flying

Only track record breaker Miss Lee returned as a winner for me on Tuesday night's Sky Card from Sandy Lane, Oxford.  Some of the other pundits did well though - Tony Bullen of the Racing Post is in good form and Ken at Skydogsblog is running away with the League.

Jonathon  Hobbs' NAP and NB both lost leaving his NAP & NB record for the year so far at 2/7 NAPs AND 3/7 NBs, for a loss of -€3.65.

 After a couple of winning weeks the Saturday 6 net is spread across the country this week - although I have resisted the temptation to get involved in the meeting over at Wimbledon.

Shelbourne Park sees the start of the Easter Cup and apart from being ultra competitive I cannot see all the dogs being at peak fitness and for that reason I will watch most of the heats. I will play on Ballymac Bondi who should be too good for his rivals this week.

Contestants need to select a dog to win each of the 3 races - one of these should be your NAP for which there is a bonus.  Also, contestants need to select a dog - known as the BISMARCK - they think will start as clear favourite and lose.  If there is no clear favourite beaten on Friday night there will be no Bismarck points scorable. The Bismarck selection must be different from your 3 tips.

The person who scores the most points on Friday night will recieve a €50 Free Bet at a bookmaker to be revealed (see rules in eveny of a tie). 

The runner-up, will receive 2 bags of Gain 28 Greyhound, courtesy of Willie Rigney at Gain.

All points scored on Friday night will count towards the League Table which has a prize fund guaranteed to a total of £500 cash which has kindly been donated by Steve Locke of Bonville Kennels

Just a quick note - in the case a selection turns out to be a non-runner, no points are scored. However a replacement can be nominated if it is no later than an hour before the start of the broadcast.  Remember to read up on the rules. Good luck!

Crazy Price

Spurs are in a bit of form, but Boylesports think they will qualify for the Europa League by clinching the 7th spot in the League, despite facing Man Utd and Liverpool on the road.

Here's their market:  Spurs 5/2, Wigan 100/30, Man City 4/1, Fulham 4/1, West Ham 9/2.

If I had to have a bet the Hammers look a bit of value.

Pall Mall Card Selections at Oxford tomorrow night

I've had a profitable 7 days and hope to continue this form tomorrow night on a Sky card that has a lot of inexposed types. 

The brilliant Miss Lee at 4/6 is short but the way she is running could actually be described as value.

RECOMMENDATION: 8.00  Miss Lee 4/6 Stan James

Droopys Cadel looks brilliantly drawn in trap 1 in the 8.15 and Seamus Cahill's runner should win this one with little fuss. 9/4 with Bet 365 will prove a big price and could be a bet to lay if you can be bothered with the effort.

RECOMMENDATION: 8.15 Droopys Cadel 9/4 Bet 365

Droopys Zach is an under-rated type, and Best Bargain is possibly over-rated by comparison.  Zach is half a point bigger at 3/1 than his market rival and that's enough for me to play.

Confident Kermit was beaten by Tyrur Hestor at Sheffield last week in track record winning time - with the exception of Royal Warrior this opposition is nowhere near that class.  Kermit is 7/2 to score tomorrow - you could do a lot worse.

Wise Maldini is a fine dog - at Swindon. At likely odds of Evens or shorter he must be opposed. Paddy Curtin's Mica Lady is 5/1 with William Hill and the home track trainer is sure to have his supporters tomorrow night.

Cabra Fly is a non-runner in the big final and I think Steve and Maxine Locke's Astral Bound, at 8/1, is just too big and is a live one.

Ireland too big at 6/1 to win 2010 Six Nations

Ireland deservedly clinched their first Championship in a quarter of a century at the weekend, and also their second ever Grand Slam - the first was 61 years ago.

I know they have tough away games next year - England and France are improving sides too. And Ireland are best priced 7/2 and generally 3/1 to win the 6 Nations Championship with all the firms - but the 'magic sign' are out to get them!  Ladbrokes amazingly chalk the boys in Green up at 6/1.

I've backed them already today and advise you all do the same - you will surely be able to lay them off at much shorter.

Saturday 6 hits rich vein

Of my 6 bets last night, 3 of them won, 1 was a non runner, 1 was a close 2nd and the other took a fall.  I could hardly improve on that kind of tipping - and the 3 winners were all in big finals.

Swords Prince won brilliantly in the Tote Gold Cup Final at Shelbourne Park, while Dundrum Minor also won his Emmett Hegarty 600 Final on the nod.  Hello Hippy was a non -runner in her Open 750 Final.  Tyrur Kenny took a bad fall in his race.

Down in Cork Ballymac Jason won the Kudos Supersprint Final, while at Limerick Saleen Neidin was caught on the line, narrowly beaten by three parts of a length after leading all the way in the TRF Puppy Final.
