Fernando Verdasco is one of the improving players on the circuit and he can comfortably beat his fellow Spaniard Feliciano Lopez tonight. He is 1/4 generally to win and I think he will beat Lopez with little fuss.
The left-handed Verdasco has won 12 of his 15 matches this year, and whilst Lopez (2 from 7) has a 2-2 record in head-to-heads with his Madrid neighbour, they have only faced off once in the last 4 years, and Verdasco comfortably won that match.
Recommendation: Verdasco to win 2-0 at 13/15 with Betfair
Radek Stepenak is playing well, and I do not make hom the outsider in tonight's encounter with Chilean no.1 Fernando Gonzalez. The Czech is 6 places below the world no 13, but has a 2-1 lead over Gonzalez in their matches so far. Crucially the last meeting was won by Stepanek at this stage of the Canadian Masters event (a hard court like tonight's surface).
Gonzalez is trading at around 4/7 to win tonight whilst Stepanek is 5/4 with Ladbrokes but there is liquidity on the exchanges for this and 15/11 is freely available.
Recommendation: Stepanek to win at 15/11 with Betfair
Verdasco won 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 (Bet lost)
Stepanek won 7-6, 6-4 (Winning bet)
Profit 0.36 pts
