The Sky and Racing Post pundits are starting to produce profits on a weekly basis. Hobbsy and Phil Donaldson (standing in for Peter Meldrum) are having a purple patch and topped the performance table last night.
Hobbsy's Nap (Silverduf Jet) was well beaten but his NB(Moatview Storm) was well backed and won well at 7/2 in from 6s. His running tally on Naps(4/11) and NBs(4/11) is a combined YTD loss of 1.9pts.
On a personal level I am grinding out a profit - 4 meetings on the trot now - and am edging closer to profits (I am green on my morning line which is what counts for me as that's how I bet).
The main event was won by Westmead Hawk dog Lorrys Options last night as he won in style. Unfortunately, as predicted here yesterday, favourite Capel Wilson met trouble last night and very sadly injured his hock and did not finish the race.
