Irish Derby Quarter Finals

Unsurprising to me, I am a good bit behind on this year's Irish Derby - Droopys Lee, Thurlesbeg Joker and Accordello are all out resulting in 6 points lost, as well as running up a loss of 11.77pts over the 6 nights so far. 

I need to make a change to that here and now with just 7 races to go.

My thinking is that Slip The Lark is a real contender now and showed great gearslast weekend and has a brilliant draw this week.  Droopys Noel has a great draw and I think Mesedo Blue could take advantage of trouble inside - I think Must Be Keano will move in and hamper Scolari Me daddy with the Royal dog inside as well likely to pace up well.

Interesting to pint out that if Mesedo Blue wins the Derby he will be in for a bonus of €100,000 from Pat Curtin which was part of his prize for winning the Shelbourne Aston Unraced Stake earlier this year.

Everton will not lose another game in this poor run, and at home to Wigan who were absolutely thumped on Sunday by United, Goodison Park will become a fortress again.

Andy Murray is peaking in time for his season's goal the US Open which is around the corner.

In the semi final of the Cincinatti Masters which he won last year he should beat Roger Federer.

NFL 2009/10

Well I am looking forward to the return of the NFL to our screens this Autumn.  I was profitable on it last year and miss it big style.

There has been a lot of toing and froing in the close season - Favre eventually joined Minnesota, TO went to Buffalo, several players were in trouble with the police.....

My teams for the year are the Jets and the Cowboys - I will follow these closely and will be lucky again to attend a Jets match - the week 2 head-to-head with Tennessee.
